January 2007 Professional Development Workshop
“Resume Writing and Interviewing Skills” presented by Carolyn Lord of OmniTeam included role playing and writing exercises using the latest techniques. Our thanks to the Botanical Gardens for providing the meeting space.
March 2007 Professional Development Workshop
“Time Management” presented by Emily Cook, PhD and by Lori King-Taylor of OmniTeam introduced new methods for time management and included a one-hour session with attending scholars, mentors and board members applying the techniques to more effectively plan for their current responsibilities and schedules. Our thanks to the Southeast YMCA for providing meeting space and childcare.
June 2007 Graduation Celebration
You are invited to attend the June 16th Graduation Celebration event with featured speaker Dr. Margaret Kelly of A&M University, who is also a WEDCF Women Honoring Women 2004 Honoree. Scholars, mentors, board members, and donors are invited to attend. The program will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Victoria’s restaurant on South Memorial Parkway.
