Become a Mentor

Mentors are an integral part of the WEDC Foundation's Scholar Program.

They are interviewed, chosen, and designated to Scholars who are following their career path or a similar one. Personality, lifestyle, and availability all factor into Mentor-Scholar pairings. With this in mind, a Mentor is asked to keep in contact and meet with her Scholar on a regular basis and provide status reports on how the program is working for her.

New mentorships begin prior to the Fall semester each year.

Having a support system is pivotal in helping someone overcome life's obstacles. The WEDC Foundation provides an avenue of community uplift that is very important to helping young ladies become economically mobile, self sufficient, and well-rounded career women. It is a much needed work-force development anchor in the community.
