Become a Mentor

Mentors are an integral part of what we do at WEDC Foundation.

She is a guide.

She is a role model.

And oftentimes...

She is a friend.

Mentors are interviewed, chosen, and designated to Scholars who are following their career path or a similar one. Personality, lifestyle, and availability all factor into Mentor-Scholar pairings. This in mind, a Mentor is asked to keep in contact and meet with her Scholar on a regular basis and provide status reports on how the program is working for her.

If you would like to be a WEDC Foundation Mentor to one of our scholars,
please fill out the form below.

Mentorships begin in mid-summer, in preparation of the Fall Semester.

Having a support system is pivotal in helping someone overcome life's obstacles. The WEDC Foundation provides an avenue of community uplift that is very important to helping young ladies become economically mobile, self sufficient, and well-rounded career women. It is a much needed work-force development anchor in the community.
