About the Event
WHW is the signature fundraiser of the WEDC Foundation, recognizing prominent women in our community who have overcome obstacles on their way to success and who serve as an inspiration to others.
Through the WHW celebrations, the WEDC Foundation honors our community's women leaders of today while our sponsors support the creation of women leaders of tomorrow.
This year, for the health and safety of our community, we have taken the event virtual! Instead of honoring NEW honorees for 2020, we will be taking this time to recognize some of our former honorees, now "Doyennes," that have continued to shine in our community. Doyenne: A woman, knowledgeable or uniquely skilled as a result of long experience in some field of endeavor. In other words, she knows EXACTLY what she is doing! This is the feminine version of a confident leader who possesses the trifecta of power: Seniority, Authority, and Rank. Join us in celebrating these remarkable women while supporting the mission of the WEDC Foundation: empowering women in our community to achieve self-sufficiency and economic independence through higher education.
