In 2025, the WEDC Foundation positively impacted the lives of 31 scholars, 7 graduates, 15 children, and 31 mentors through our Scholar program! The WEDCF provided $88,000 in flexible financial assistance, along with multiple professional development opportunities and mentoring relationships for women in North Alabama. Additionaly, $5,200 was dispersed for academic bonuses, with 16 scholars achieving a perfect GPA of 4.0 and 14 maintaining GPAs of 3.5 or higher and $1,600 for participation bonuses and attendance at workshops. Support for our mission was also outstanding! Thanks to generous donors, we received over $10,625 from 39 monthly donors, our Pearls, $12,247 from individual donations, $25,000 thanks to the PPG Foundation Grant specifically for STEM scholars, and $10,000 from our newest endower, Dr. Annie Saylor!
The 24th Annual Women Honoring Women fundraising gala continued to inspire, raising over $235,102 and sharing words of wisdom from our five exceptional honorees. Thanks to our many dedicated volunteers, we remained committed to fulfilling the WEDCF mission by supporting the women in our program, one degree at a time.
