Huntsville, Ala. — Women Honoring Women (WHW) is the signature fundraiser of the WEDC Foundation, celebrating remarkable women in our community who have made significant contributions, overcome challenges, and inspired others. The WEDC Foundation is thrilled to announce that nominations are now open for extraordinary women from Madison, Marshall, Morgan, and Limestone Counties - expanding eligibility beyond Madison County for the first time in the event’s history.
This expansion reflects the WEDC Foundation’s continued commitment to recognizing and uplifting women whose leadership and influence extend across North Alabama. By broadening nomination opportunities, WHW aims to celebrate the diverse and impactful contributions of women throughout the region.
Nominees should reside and work in North Alabama and are expected to demonstrate exceptional success and growth in their business or organization, showcasing their professional impact. They create a lasting legacy within the North Alabama community by inspiring others, sharing a bold vision, empowering those around them, and modeling exemplary behavior. Their actions illuminate the positive influence they have on others through mentorship and guidance.
Nominations will be accepted online through the WEDC Foundation website until March 8, 2026.
The community is invited to celebrate this year’s selected Honorees at the 25th Annual Women Honoring Women signature fundraising event on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
Proceeds from Women Honoring Women directly support the mission of the WEDC Foundation, empowering collegiate women through education, mentorship, and resources that foster long-term success.
